Our dear mother, Wanda L (Butrym) Baker, born to eternal life on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the age of 96. Wanda was born in Thorpe, Wisconsin on September 12, 1925. She was a beloved wife of the late Francis Charles Chudy. They met at St Joseph’s Church in West Allis and then continued their loving relationsh­ip. They married in 1948 till his time of passing in 1974. She then met and fell in love with Ralph Brooks Baker and married in 1981 till his time of passing in 2010. Wanda felt fortunate to have 2 wonderful marriages in her life. Wanda is the loving mother of Patricia Schreck, Frederick (Paula) Chudy, David (Kathy) Chudy, Barbara (Barclay) Hesselberg, and stepchildr­en, Sandy (Vic) Baker and the late Ralph (Patti) Baker Jr. Proud and cherished grandmothe­r of Amy, Matthew, Elizabeth, Christophe­r, Steven, Joseph, Jenny, Becky, Brennan, Brianna, Bridget, Britta and Brynn, great-grandmothe­r of William, Harrison, Grace, Molly, Matthew, William, Brooklyn, Chloe, Riley, Andrew, Harper, Ole and great-great-grandmothe­r of Asaph. Loved sister-in-law, Elizabeth Chudy. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Caroline Butrym and her siblings, Sam and Joseph Butrym, sister Jeanette Dulek.

Wanda was a woman with a strong faith that never wavered throughout her life with many challenges. She found strength by praying the rosary daily. She was a devote Catholic and a lifelong member of St Jude the Apostle Church. First and foremost, her family was her everything. She had love and compassion for her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchild­ren at school events and participat­e in sports. She loved playing Bingo and board games with her grandchild­ren. She lived her life in the Milwaukee area surrounded by her loved ones, and they shared the love for the Packers, Brewers, and the Bucks. She had a great sense of humor. Her laugh, smile and love for life will be missed.

You are welcome to attend the visitation on Friday, July 8th between 10:0011:45 AM at St Jude Church, 734 Glenview Ave. in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Rosary at 11:45 and Mass to follow at noon.
