OAK CREEK - Karren R. Torgersen (nee Patrykus), 71, of Oak Creek, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at age 71. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Thomas Torgersen, and her loving son Jason Torgersen. She was the greatest Mother her son Jason could ever have and he will miss his “Wonderful Mom” dearly.

Karren enjoyed gardening, tending to her many plants and flowers, spending annual summer vacations at the cabin on the lake in northern Wisconsin, family trips to “the farm” in Princeton, WI during her youth and well into her adult years, taking care of several pet ferrets and her dogs Penny and Daisy Mae, reading, and making new friends from across the country and across the world on social media. Karren graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She spent her life living in the cities of Milwaukee, Greenfield, Cudahy, and Oak Creek. Karren retired after working at First Wisconsin Bank / US Bank for over 40 years.

Karren was preceded in death by her father Raymund Patrykus, mother Dorothy Patrykus, and brother David (Pauline) Patrykus. She is survived by her husband Thomas, son Jason, and her brother Wayne (Kathy) Patrykus. She is also survived by lifelong friend Maxine Radovich. Additional­ly survived by sister-in-laws Linda (Mike) Bussian, Debbie (Tom) Burden, Theresa (Jim) Malloy, Patty Chitwood, and brother-in-law Rick (Diana) Torgersen. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory. This charity was special to her and she was a life-long supporter. A private Memorial service will be held at a yet to be determined future date, honoring her wishes for safe gatherings in these current times.
