Brewers set their giveaway schedule

The Milwaukee Brewers unveiled their full promotiona­l slate for the 2023 season and revealed the three current players who will be profiled in all-fan giveaways: Devin Williams, Rowdy Tellez and William Contreras.

The trio were part of 12 giveaways announced Monday, which are additional to the sizeable theme night and community night schedule announced last week.

What are the new giveaways?

All giveaways will be distribute­d to the first 30,000 fans unless indicated.

April 29: Brewers long-sleeve hooded shirt

May 14: Brewers wristlet (given to first 10,000 fans)

May 27: Christian Yelich patriotic jersey

June 10: City Connect flag

June 18: Brewers Bucket Hat (first 10,000 ages 21 and over)

July 22: City Connect beach towel Aug. 5: Devin Williams bobblehead Sept. 2: Brewers fleece vest

Aug. 26: Rowdy Tellez bobblehead Sept. 16: William Contreras bobblehead

Which players will be featured as bobblehead­s?

Williams, who appeared in the AllStar Game for the first time last year, has delivered three straight monster seasons, including a performanc­e in the abbreviate­d 2020 season that netted him National League rookie of the year. Last year, he struck out 96 batters in nearly 61 innings, featuring a changeup regarded as one of the best pitches in baseball. He transition­ed to the team’s closer role once the club traded Josh Hader.

Tellez, whom the Brewers acquired during the 2021 season, has evolved into one of the team’s most popular players. The burly left-handed slugger socked 35 home runs last year to lead the team and logged an OPS of .767, the top mark among returning qualified players.

Contreras, acquired in an offseason trade from the Atlanta Braves, will serve as the team’s primary catcher. He was also an all-star last year at 24 years old, posting an OPS of .860.

Several of the Brewers’ other top players, namely Corbin Burnes, Willy Adames, Brandon Woodruff and Freddy Peralta, were featured as bobblehead­s last year.

When can fans buy tickets?

The Brewers also announced that individual tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Feb. 25.

The Brewers are introducin­g the Sunday Fun-Day Bundle, with which fans can get four terrace (fourth deck) outfield tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and a parking pass for $59 all season. Up to eight additional tickets can be added to the package for larger groups.

High-school and college students can partake in the $9 Student Special on Monday-Friday games. Longstandi­ng promotion “5-County Fridays” is back, when residents of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha can receive 50% off tickets. The club is also returning with Kids and Senior Discount Days on weekday afternoon games and Miller High Life Mondays for discounted terrace reserved tickets.

Fans can purchase theme night and community-night packages, as well as the Sunday Fun-Day Bundle, immediatel­y.

What are the theme nights?

Theme night and community-night offerings include Wisconsin Night (April 28), Star Wars night (May 13), First Responders Appreciati­on Night (May 25), Aloha Friday (May 26), Pride Night (June 7) Golf Night (June 16), Indiana Jones Day (June 17), Sesame Street Day (July 8), Negro Leagues Tribute Game (July 21), College Night (Aug. 3), Harry Potter Night (Aug. 25) and Cerveceros Day (Sept. 17).

When does the season start?

Milwaukee is scheduled to play the Chicago Cubs at 1:20 p.m. March 30 at Wrigley Field. The home opener at American Family Field is set for 1:10 p.m. April 3 against the New York Mets. Brewers players will begin reporting to spring training this week, with the first spring game scheduled for Feb. 25.
