4 things to do in Milwaukee this weekend
1. Flat Out Friday and Mama Tried Motorcycle Show
A weekend of motors running starts with Flat Out Friday, flat-track motorcycle races on a Dr Pepper-slicked course laid out in Fiserv Forum at 7 p.m. Feb. 17. The races, with more than 300 riders, are part of the Mama Tried Motorcycle Show; the show, which connects bikes and builders to fans and riders, takes place at the Rave, 2401 W. Wisconsin Ave., from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 18 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 19. 2. NARI Spring Home Improvement Show
The 61st annual NARI Milwaukee Spring Home Improvement Show fills up State Fair Park’s Wisconsin Exposition Center this weekend with about 150 remodelers, vendors and contractors on hand. The show’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 17, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 18 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 19. Admission at the door is $12, $10 for seniors 60 and older, and free for kids 17 and younger, veterans, active-duty military personnel, front-line workers and medical personnel. 3. Cedarburg Winter Festival
Cedarburg’s Winter Festival has a “Wild West” theme this year, but the downtown Cedarburg event also includes the traditional ice-carving contest, barrel races, a chili cook-off and more. 4. Broadway Skates! Disney’s ‘Frozen’ at Red Arrow Park
As a tie-in to the “Frozen” Broadway touring show coming to the Marcus Performing Arts Center in April, an edition of Broadway Skates! with songs from the Broadway show “Frozen” will take the ice for a free skate across the street in Red Arrow Park, 920 N.
