Jeffrey Lucas

-

During this emotional time we would like to celebrate the life of Jeffrey Lucas born on August 13, 1956 and his journey into heaven on December 14, 2022 when he became a very handsome angel.

Jeff was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from James Madison High School, and was then employed by Evenrude. Later he moved to Brunswick Maine and was employed by LL Beans. He left LL Beans to drive truck for FedEx and stayed with FedEx until he retired. Jeffrey enjoyed driving truck the best, his fondest memory was delivering boots from LL Beans to the emergency workers and volunteers at the twin towers during 911. Jeff was hard working, always a talker, and enjoyed loud conversations. He was considerate, supportive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and passionate about family. Jeff was an amazing father to his children Anthony and Jenise and stepson Jon.

Jeff enjoyed sailing whenever he could aboard his boat, the Lily B, named after his grandmother. He also enjoyed talking about politics with whoever would listen. He spent happy days on Silver Lake water skiing, enjoying campfires and fireworks on the fourth of July with, of course, a “Bud” in a bottle. He did have dreams of retiring in Florida basking in the sun, riding his Harley, sitting on the dock watching the birds with his cat Mitt while making music on his harmonica. Later, he might cook us dinner with lots of garlic! We would then enjoy some more music, conversation, hugs and kisses and say goodnight Jeff, thanks for dinner ....

Jeff is survived by his wife Nancy, stepson Jon and other Beaton family members. Jeffrey’s children Anthony Lucas (Hillary), Jenise Hughes (Drew) and seven beautiful grandchildren. His mother, Nancy Berger, “MA”, sisters’ Linda (Peter), Jeanine (Mark), Lisa and Nicole (Matt), and stepfather Herb Kipp. Jeff is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, aunts and uncles and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by grandparents Ronald and Lillian Beaudoin, Uncle Paul Kirsch and Aunt Audrey, and also, many other great aunts, uncles, and cousins and stepfather Bill Berger.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held during the summer. An announcement will be made at a later date.

We love you and miss you Jeffrey.
