MILWAUKEE - Adrianne (Adie) Ives passed peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the age of 81. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald (Jerry), her children, Katie, Tom (Jenn), and Joe, her grandson, George, her brother, Allie (Jeanne) Fogas, and many other dear relatives and friends.

Adrianne was preceded in death by her parents, Alador and Dorothy Fogas, her siblings, Diane, Bob (Jeanette) and Brian, and other loved relatives and friends.

Adrianne was born in Milwaukee on March 13, 1941. She was the oldest of five children, and her family lived on Michigan St. near Marquette University until her early teens when they moved to Brown Deer. She attended Wisconsin Avenue Elementary School, Divine Savior High School and Marquette University. She greatly valued the Jesuit education she received at Marquette, and it influenced her throughout her life. She taught English for ten years at Brown Deer high school before becoming a full time Mom - the job she loved most. She and Jerry built their lives together and raised their family in Wauwatosa where they have lived on the same block for over 50 years. She loved reading, music and comedy, was a caring and compassionate friend, and found the bright side in almost any situation. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 9:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am at Christ King Parish (2604 N Swan Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53226). Private family burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Adrianne’s name to Wisconsin Literacy Services or the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation are greatly appreciated.
