Forbes’ picks for Wisconsin’s best companies to work for

Top employers across Wisconsin landed on the latest Forbes report ranking midsize and large employers for the nation’s best places to work.

The annual ranking of midsize employers is based on a survey of more than 170,000 U.S.-based workers at American companies. Organizati­ons with 1,000 to 5,000 employees were classified as midsize employers, and companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered large.

Methodolog­y

Employees were asked to rate their employer and say if they would recommend their employer to others. Current employees, employees who had worked for the company within the past two years, and individual­s familiar with the company responded to the survey. Greater weight was given to evaluation­s from current employees and former employees.

The report included data from the past three years, with recent data weighted more heavily, to better classify companies that have been rated well over time.
