Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m. ⬤ New Series This four-part docuseries (airing two hours tonight and concluding with two hours tomorrow night) uncovers the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Series like All That and The Amanda Show, among others, had an undeniable grip on kids across the country. But behind the upbeat screen presence on these shows was an insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism, and inappropriate dynamics with the underage stars and crew.
In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon MGM+, 9 p.m. ⬤ New Series
Director Alex Gibney was granted unprecedented access to iconic singersongwriter Paul Simon while the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recorded his 15th solo album, 2023’s Seven Psalms, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. This two-part docuseries juxtaposes the legendary artist’s present life and music with his long and storied career that began in the 1960s collaborating with friend Art Garfunkel.
