BRADENTON, FL - Weidner, John F. “Jack” May 3, 1942 – March 2, 2024. Jack passed in his sleep at his Bradenton, Florida home. He was born in Milwaukee, the son of Pauline (Burditt) and Frederick (Fritz) Weidner, the oldest of his siblings Diane (Terry) Bowen, Phillip (Carol), and Mary (Bert) Weidner-Ruediger.

Jack is the much-loved father of Michael (Gerise), Meg (Tom) Epperly, Charlie Heidenreich, Katie Weidner, and Annie Heidenreich, who each brought him immeasurable joy and who he had so much pride in. His wife, Christine (Emery), will dearly cherish the 44+ years of his loving encouragement, dancing, partnership, family fun, travel, and tenderness they shared. He (Papa Brp Brp) leaves behind gifts to the world known as his grandchildren, whom he adored and was so proud of: Tighe Pallan, Ethan (partner Sierra) Epperly, Ellie (Steph) Zutz, Maya Thurston, Aidan (Kaylea) Epperly, Victoria Weidner, and Zach Weidner.

For many years Jack was known as “Mr. Reverend Chris” as he attended and helped with every wedding rehearsal and wedding ceremony she officiated. Jack was a 1960 graduate from Pulaski High School (Milwaukee, WI) with a wrestling scholarship from Marquette University and graduated with a BSEE. His high school buddy, Les Bruskiewitz and he were Green Bay season ticket holders for 63 years. John, as he was known by his JOURNAL SENTINEL coworkers, retired from there after 34 years. While at the Journal, he served as a union steward and proud member of IBEW 494. He was a lifelong member of the Democratic Party. Jack was a Mother of Good Counsel, Muskego, and Sussex, WI sheepshead clubs member. There will be a memorial for him at HOLY WISDOM MONASTERY, 4200 County Highway M, Middleton, WI 53562 on JUNE 22, 2024 from 10am to 2pm with service at 11am and a luncheon to follow. Family requests no flowers but suggests donations to the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSN. in his name. Our worlds will never be the same.
