ALEX MOLINAROLI, CEO of Johnson Controls, is nothing if not a survivor. He made it through a major controversy in 2014 (an extramarital affair with a company contractor) and another in 2015, when his complicated relationship with Florida Ponzi-schemer JOSEPH ZADA came to light. Hoping to settle down to The Good Life, Molinaroli bought a condo/ townhouse near Brewer’s Hill in 2015 and, amid $700,000 in renovations, added a pool to the back terrace. Everything was going swimmingly until Molinaroli’s next-door neighbors objected to his installation of two small exhaust pipes and a small air conditioning unit in a side yard, all of it needed for the boiler used to heat the pool. The condo association ordered Molinaroli to remove the pipes, and so he sued, and both sides hunkered down in their townhouses behind outward-facing security cameras. Molinaroli’s lawyer, Milwaukee’s BRUCE MCILNAY, says the neighbors declined an offer to install sound shielding around the exhaust pipes, but he still hopes to resolve the issue in time for Molinaroli to use the outdoor pool.
