For the last five years, Emily Ristow has been building a fashion brand that’s equal parts edgy and elegant. A graduate of Mount Mary University’s apparel design program, Ristow says her designs “can be inspired by almost anything. That’s what design is to me: paying attention to how things work or don’t work, and being able to synthesize those ideas.” Her runway show at Fashion Week was a fan favorite last year, and Ristow hopes to top her past success “with some new concepts and techniques.”
