PHONE APPS

Apps so helpful you’ll want to save them a plate of chicken.

Helpful planning tools.

HOW MUCH PLANNING can you actually do with your phone? Plenty.

Appy Couple, says Ashley Kuehnel of Midwestern Bride, “allows (couples) some space for their own creativity and individuality to take shape…. They also have helpful planning tools that can keep couples up to date on etiquette, new trends and budget.” Kuehnel’s also a fan of the Yelp-ish Weddingwire, with what she thinks are honest reviews about vendors, for “a true snapshot of the truth behind their work.”

For those worried about a day-of battle with Mother Nature, Dark Sky, says Tiara Gamez of Events to a T, “is an awesome weather app that… is extremely accurate and user-friendly. It has helped us make some tough calls easier when it comes to outdoor events.” She also likes Honeybook because “clients can view contracts from this site, sign them and even pay online, all through the app.”

Planners like apps, too, as they can clarify a couple’s vision. Now, you can send the app link in an email or text, “as opposed to sending Google docs with links elsewhere, floor diagrams from other sites, and images that skip all over Pinterest,” says Kuehnel.
