Nom­i­na­tions now open for first Health­care Mar­ket­ing Im­pact Awards

To­day’s rapidly chang­ing health­care en­vi­ron­ment de­mands ev­ery or­ga­ni­za­tion—whether provider, in­surer, sup­plier or ad­vo­cacy group—reach the pub­lic with a clear and im­pact­ful mes­sage com­mu­ni­cat­ing their goal of de­liv­er­ing or con­tribut­ing to higher qual­ity, more af­ford­able and more ac­ces­si­ble health­care.

That’s why Mod­ern Health­care and its sis­ter pub­li­ca­tion, Ad­ver­tis­ing Age, are launch­ing the in­au­gu­ral Health­care Mar­ket­ing Im­pact Awards. This pro­gram is de­signed to rec­og­nize health­care’s best ad­ver­tis­ing, mar­ket­ing, pro­mo­tion and com­mu­ni­ca­tion cam­paigns across all me­dia plat­forms.

The awards will honor those cam­paigns that helped or­ga­ni­za­tions make an im­pact in to­day’s dy­namic health­care mar­ket­place. Awards will be given to cam­paigns across all me­dia plat­forms that pro­moted the health of in­di­vid­ual pa­tients, groups and com­mu­ni­ties, and helped or­ga­ni­za­tions thrive and grow in to­day’s dy­namic health­care en­vi­ron­ment.

In ad­di­tion, the pro­gram will give spe­cial recog­ni­tion to the best ef­forts at com­mu­nity out­reach and pa­tient ed­u­ca­tion. There will also be spe­cial awards for the agency of the year and best in show.

Fi­nally, the ed­i­tors of Mod­ern Health­care and Ad­ver­tis­ing Age will se­lect the win­ner of the first Health­care Mar­ket­ing Vi­sion­ary award, which will be given an­nu­ally to an out­stand­ing in­di­vid­ual who has ef­fec­tively and eth­i­cally built pub­lic un­der­stand­ing of health­care is­sues and made a last­ing con­tri­bu­tion to the in­dus­try over the course of his or her ca­reer.

So hold the date: The first Health­care Mar­ket­ing Im­pact Awards Gala will be Tues­day, Sept. 23, 2014, at the Hy­att Re­gency Ho­tel in Chicago. It will be held in con­junc­tion with the first Mod­ern Health­care Strate­gic Health­care Mar­ket­ing Con­fer­ence, which will take place Sept. 23-24.

Agencies and or­ga­ni­za­tions are el­i­gi­ble to nom­i­nate their best work for these awards.
