Froedtert system partners with Cleveland Clinic
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin system hopes to boost its cardiovascular program by partnering with the Cleveland Clinic.
Froedtert Hospital, an academic medical center based in Milwaukee, is the only hospital in the Badger State to join the Cleveland Clinic Heart and Vascular Institute as an affiliate member, according to a news release announcing the affiliation.
Doctors and patients at Froedtert & MCW will have access to new treatments and technologies, and will collaborate on medical research with the Cleveland Clinic.
A year ago, Cleveland began assessing what cardiovascular services were available in southeastern Wisconsin. The clinic reviewed Froedtert & MCW’s heart program and looked at personnel, policies and procedures, outcomes and facilities. The Wisconsin system’s heart and vascular program opened in October.
