Darcy Burthay has been promoted to president and CEO of Providence Health System in Washington, D.C., an Ascension Health subsidiary. The move is effective July 1.
Duane She replaces Erwin, who has served as interim CEO since November 2015.
Burthay most recently served as managing director of Home Care Services for Ascension Health. Previously, she was chief nursing officer and COO at Ascension’s St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital for nearly six years.
John G. Hill has been named president and CEO of the Bozeman (Mont.) Health system, effective Aug. 1.
Hill, 45, most recently served as senior VP and CEO of the PeaceHealth Oregon West Network, where he oversaw operations at four hospitals, including the flagship PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield. Before joining PeaceHealth, he spent five years as CEO of the Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza near Denver.
Dr. David Williams has been named CEO of UnityPoint Health Partners, the accountable care organization of West Des Moines, Iowa-based Kevin UnityPoint Health. He replaces Vermeer, who assumed the role of president and CEO of UnityPoint Health in January.
Williams, 48, will continue to serve as senior VP of clinical integration and optimization at the system, a role he has held since June 2015. Previously, he was a pediatrician for UnityPoint Health and Iowa Health System for 15 years.
