Chronic-care management bill deserves speedy passage

Regarding the article “New bill aims to allow chronic-care management with no cost-sharing for some plans” (ModernHealthcare.com, July 11), as a physician, I have seen many patients with chronic diseases who needlessly became much worse because of the high cost of their care. This new legislation would prevent this problem and is an outstanding solution that should be adopted as soon as possible. The fact that this is bipartisan legislation should speed its approval.
