Gay Nord has been named president of Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, part of CHI St. Luke’s Health, effective Oct. 3. She
Dr. William replaces Brien,
who served as interim president since May. He will resume his role as VP of medical operations and chief clinical officer at Baylor St. Luke’s. Nord most recently was president and CEO of Methodist Hospital in San Antonio for five years. She previously served as CEO of HCA’s Overland Park (Kan.) Regional Medical Center and CEO of HCA’s Kingwood Medical Center in Houston.
Mary Flowers
was named VP and chief diversity officer at Roper St. Francis in Charleston, S.C. She will take on the newly created role effective Sept. 6.
Flowers was most recently associate VP of experience, diversity and inclusion at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. During her tenure, she was recognized by the CMS for her development of a statewide program that addressed disparities in healthcare.
Flowers is also a faculty member and executive committee member of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association.
Kris Gaw
has been named COO at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix.
Gaw, 49, most recently was executive VP and chief administrative officer of hospital operations for Parkland Hospital & Health System, Dallas, where she was responsible for overseeing daily hospital operations as well as systemwide ancillary and support services. Previously, she served as COO at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nev., and VP of human resources for Renown Health.
Tina Mycroft has been named senior VP and CFO of EvergreenHealth based in Kirkland, Wash., effective mid-September.
Chrissy Yamada, She replaces who retired from Evergreen in August after 12 years as CFO.
Mycroft most recently was CFO of St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group, a not-for-profit medical practice in Orange County, Calif. She previously served as CFO and VP of finance at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange (Calif.).
