Dr. Darryl Elmouchi has been promoted to chief medical officer at Spectrum Health Hospital Group, based in Grand Rapids, Mich. He replaces Dr. Ralph
Rogers, who died in May.
Elmouchi, 44, was most recently the system’s chief of cardiovascular medicine and chairman its cardiovascular medicine department. He also served as medical director of cardiac electrophysiology from 2010 to 2014 at Spectrum and previously held clinical positions at the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, and the University of California at San Francisco.
He is also an assistant professor of medicine at Michigan State University.
Dr. Michael Anderson has been named chief medical officer of CHI Franciscan Health, Tacoma, Wash., after serving in the role on an interim basis for seven months. He replaces
Dr. Mark Adams, who left to become CMO for PeaceHealth, Vancouver, Wash.
Before joining CHI Franciscan, Anderson was medical officer for the U.S. Marine Corps and director of health services headquarters for the Marines.
Charlie Therrien has been named president of Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, part of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, effective in mid-November. He will remain a senior VP of the system. He succeeds Eileen
Skinner, who resigned in March. Therrien, 58, most recently served as president since 2010 of EMHS’ Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. He has also held various executive roles at Sharon (Conn.) Hospital including CEO and COO. He also led the physician organization at Danbury (Conn.) Hospital from 1993 to 1999.
