Dr. Ger­ald Mal­oney has been pro­moted to chief med­i­cal of­fi­cer of Geisinger Hos­pi­tals. He will lead CMOs and over­see clin­i­cal pro­grams at hos­pi­tals through­out Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health Sys­tem.

Mal­oney has been with Geisinger since 2007, hold­ing a va­ri­ety of clin­i­cal lead­er­ship po­si­tions in­clud­ing as­so­ci­ate CMO, chair­man of the depart­ment of medicine, di­rec­tor of pal­lia­tive medicine and CMO for Geisinger Wy­oming Val­ley Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Be­fore join­ing Geisinger, he was med­i­cal di­rec­tor of Mercy Hos­pi­tal in Wilkes-Barre.

Ken Miller has been named CFO of Beau­fort (S.C.) Memo­rial Hos­pi­tal. He re­places Jeff White, who is re­tir­ing af­ter 25 years with the hos­pi­tal.

Most re­cently, Miller was CFO at CHI St. Luke’s Health Memo­rial, a four-hos­pi­tal sys­tem in East Texas. Pre­vi­ously, he was CFO for a di­vi­sion of Re­gion­alCare Hos­pi­tal Part­ners, based in Brent­wood, Tenn.

An­drew DeVoe has been named CFO at Cincin­nati-based TriHealth af­ter serv­ing as the in­terim fi­nance ex­ec­u­tive since July.

Be­fore join­ing TriHealth, DeVoe was se­nior VP and CFO at Philadel­phi­abased Aria Health Sys­tem. He pre­vi­ously served as se­nior VP and CFO at Pitts­burgh-based UPMC.

Paul Warda has been named VP of fi­nance for Bay­lor St. Luke’s Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Hous­ton, ef­fec­tive Jan. 15. He re­places Bill Bro­sius, who was with Bay­lor St. Luke’s since 2009.

Warda, 56, most re­cently was VP and CFO at MedS­tar Ge­orge­town Univer­sity Hos­pi­tal in Wash­ing­ton, D.C.

Joseph Fournier has been named VP of hu­man re­sources and chief hu­man re­sources of­fi­cer at In­ter­moun­tain Health­care, Salt Lake City, start­ing Jan. 30. He re­places Corey Heller, who re­lo­cated to Florida, ac­cord­ing to a spokes­woman who pro­vided no fur­ther de­tails.

An at­tor­ney and former U.S. Air Force of­fi­cer, Fournier, 40, was most re­cently chief hu­man re­sources of­fi­cer for the Univer­sity of Michi­gan Health Sys­tem in Ann Ar­bor. Ear­lier in his ca­reer he was a mil­i­tary pros­e­cu­tor and coun­sel for the Air Force Med­i­cal Ser­vice.

Kath­leen Rhine has been named pres­i­dent and CEO of Mount Nit­tany Health Sys­tem, based in State Col­lege, Pa., ef­fec­tive Jan. 30.

Rhine most re­cently was re­gional pres­i­dent and CEO for Chicago-based Pres­ence Health. Pre­vi­ously she served as COO for two hos­pi­tals that are part of St. Joseph Mercy Health Sys­tem, Ann Ar­bor, Mich.
