Dr. Gerald Maloney has been promoted to chief medical officer of Geisinger Hospitals. He will lead CMOs and oversee clinical programs at hospitals throughout Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System.

Maloney has been with Geisinger since 2007, holding a variety of clinical leadership positions including associate CMO, chairman of the department of medicine, director of palliative medicine and CMO for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Before joining Geisinger, he was medical director of Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre.

Ken Miller has been named CFO of Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital. He replaces Jeff White, who is retiring after 25 years with the hospital.

Most recently, Miller was CFO at CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial, a four-hospital system in East Texas. Previously, he was CFO for a division of RegionalCa­re Hospital Partners, based in Brentwood, Tenn.

Andrew DeVoe has been named CFO at Cincinnati-based TriHealth after serving as the interim finance executive since July.

Before joining TriHealth, DeVoe was senior VP and CFO at Philadelph­iabased Aria Health System. He previously served as senior VP and CFO at Pittsburgh-based UPMC.

Paul Warda has been named VP of finance for Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Houston, effective Jan. 15. He replaces Bill Brosius, who was with Baylor St. Luke’s since 2009.

Warda, 56, most recently was VP and CFO at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Joseph Fournier has been named VP of human resources and chief human resources officer at Intermount­ain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, starting Jan. 30. He replaces Corey Heller, who relocated to Florida, according to a spokeswoma­n who provided no further details.

An attorney and former U.S. Air Force officer, Fournier, 40, was most recently chief human resources officer for the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. Earlier in his career he was a military prosecutor and counsel for the Air Force Medical Service.

Kathleen Rhine has been named president and CEO of Mount Nittany Health System, based in State College, Pa., effective Jan. 30.

Rhine most recently was regional president and CEO for Chicago-based Presence Health. Previously she served as COO for two hospitals that are part of St. Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich.
