Wisconsin’s AboutHealth network loses UW Health, Marshfield Clinic
UW Health and Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System have left the statewide network in Wisconsin called AboutHealth. Their departure leaves the collaborative with six systems, down from an original eight.
The original network, first formed in 2014, was aimed at improving quality of care and streamlining some processes. Madison-based UW Health was a founding member of the network, which now includes about 48 hospitals and 8,000 physicians.
La Crosse-based Gundersen Health System, ThedaCare of Appleton and Aurora Health Care of Milwaukee are among the systems that remain in the network.
Another similar statewide partnership launched in 2010, called Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin. That group includes Madison-based SSM Health and Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin, both in Milwaukee.
