Changes to ACA plans should encourage competition, fairness
Regarding the article “Trump administration rule aims to tighten enrollment in ACA exchange plans” (ModernHealthcare.com, Feb. 15): As long as the changes encourage com- petition yet require all Americans to be in one boat, albeit with different state rooms, all will be well.
We cannot lose guaranteed insurability for all and continuation of insurance for dependents up through age 26. I’m a Republican physician, but I would not be afraid of using a public option to further competition if the individual markets get too small.
