Don Steigman

Steigman has been COO of Jackson Health System, one of the country’s largest public healthcare systems, since 2011. Jackson Health employs more than 12,000 people and has nearly 2,500 inpatient beds across six hospitals. In his first year as COO, Steigman led a transformation that led to a surplus of more than $ 8 million after posting an $ 82 million loss in the prior year. Steigman previously was CEO of Auditz, a healthcare services and software company focused on reimbursement and revenue-cycle issues. He also served as a senior vice president of Tenet Healthcare Corp., overseeing 16 hospitals in Florida and Alabama. He was also a consultant with Parkland Healthcare Group, providing hospitals and health systems with management expertise and acquisition strategies.
