Char­lene Fal­gout has been named chief nurs­ing of­fi­cer of LifePoint Health’s St. Fran­cis Hos­pi­tal in Colum­bus, Ga.

Fal­gout was most re­cently CNO for St. Joseph’s Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Hous­ton, part of Ia­sis Health­care. She also was CNO at sev­eral other hos­pi­tals. Fal­gout pre­vi­ously served as a nurse man­ager and clin­i­cal ed­u­ca­tor at Brook­wood Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Lake Charles, La.

Staci Dick­er­son was pro­moted to se­nior VP and CFO of San Diegob­ased Sharp Health­Care. She suc­ceeds Ann Pumpian, who is re­tir­ing af­ter 32 years with Sharp.

Dick­er­son has been with Sharp since 2003 as di­rec­tor of man­aged­care fi­nance and VP of fi­nance. Pre­vi­ously, Dick­er­son was a health­care spe­cial­ist at an ac­count­ing and con­sult­ing firm.

Terri Mel­drum has been pro­moted to se­nior VP and gen­eral coun­sel of OhioHealth, based in Colum­bus. She re­places Earl Barnes, who took a sim­i­lar po­si­tion at Ad­vo­cate Health Care, based in Down­ers Grove, Ill.

Mel­drum most re­cently was VP and deputy gen­eral coun­sel at OhioHealth. She joined the sys­tem in 2002 as as­sis­tant gen­eral coun­sel. Pre­vi­ously, Mel­drum worked for the law firm Taft Stet­tinius & Hol­lis­ter in Colum­bus and also served in the of­fice of the Ohio at­tor­ney gen­eral.

Matthew Mod­ica has been named the first chief in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity of­fi­cer at St. Louis-based BJC Health­Care.

Mod­ica will over­see BJC’s in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity man­age­ment pro­gram and will be re­spon­si­ble for the strate­gic di­rec­tion, plan­ning and im­ple­men­ta­tion of de­fenses against data se­cu­rity breaches.

He was pre­vi­ously VP of global client se­cu­rity at Equifax, a con­sumer credit re­port­ing com­pany. Pre­vi­ously he held lead­er­ship roles at Ex­press Scripts and Ed­ward Jones In­vest­ments.
