Nomination­s sought for Top 25 Minority Leaders recognitio­n

Modern Healthcare is accepting nomination­s for the Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare awards for 2020. The biennial program recognizes leading minority healthcare executives who are influencin­g policy and care delivery across the country. In their roles, they’re also working to nurture and advance diversity and inclusion in their organizati­ons.

Nomination­s for the program, sponsored by the Furst Group and NuBrick Partners, will be accepted from all sectors of the industry, notably hospitals and health systems, physician organizati­ons, payers, associatio­ns, government, vendors and suppliers. To be eligible, the candidate must be considered a minority based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s definition, which includes being African American, American Indian, Asian, Latino, Pacific Islander or multiracia­l.

Nomination criteria include: steps the nominee took this year to help the organizati­on achieve or exceed financial, operationa­l and clinical goals; specific actions the nominee has taken to promote racial equity in the C-suite, including hiring or promoting minority leaders; and steps the nominee has taken to establish or contribute to a culture of innovation and transforma­tion
