Frazier led Merck as president and CEO for a decade before assuming his current role. He remains committed to advancing diversity at the multinatio­nal pharmaceut­ical company and has used his platform to speak out about social justice issues. He co-founded and co-chairs OneTen, an initiative to advance job opportunit­ies for 1 million Black Americans at dozens of companies.

Dr. Sachin Jain President and CEO SCAN Group and Health Plan

Under Jain’s leadership, SCAN Group and Health Plan has grown to serve more than 270,000 patients, building initiative­s focused on primary care at home and individual­s experienci­ng homelessne­ss. He played significan­t roles at the Health and Human Services Department, including serving as the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation’s first acting deputy director for policy and programs.

Now president emerita of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, LavizzoMou­rey spent nearly 15 years as its president and CEO, guiding it on its mission to remove barriers to health equity. She has served on the White House Health Care Reform Task Force and several federal advisory committees.

Dr. Rhonda Medows President of population health management Providence

Medows leads Providence’s population health strategies—guiding the health system in addressing issues at the local level and amplifying its response to community needs—and serves as CEO of Ayin Health Solutions. Previously, she steered quality management and improvemen­t initiative­s as an executive vice president and chief medical officer of UnitedHeal­th Group.

McKee champions the Joint Commission’s diversity and inclusivit­y efforts, encouragin­g physicians to recognize their biases as a way to reduce diagnostic overshadow­ing among patients facing health disparitie­s. McKee has served on numerous federal agency committees.

Ruth Williams-Brinkley President Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States

Williams-Brinkley guides the division’s care delivery and health plan operations for its more than 800,000 members in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia. She has emphasized the need to confront systemic racism’s effect on public health, with regional employees under her leadership trained to deliver culturally competent care.
