Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) is supporting new state legislation
that would establish an Illinois health insurance exchange, an effort to protect an important Affordable Care Act provision in Illinois in the event future federal leaders ever look to roll back parts of the landmark law. The proposed legislation is being introduced through amendments to the state’s Administrative Procedure Act and calls for Illinois to create its own one-stop shop for health insurance.
Michael Szubski plans to retire from Clevelandbased University Hospitals
following a 15-year tenure as the system’s chief financial officer. UH CEO Dr. Cliff Megerian plans to nominate Bradley Bond—UH vice president of treasury, community medical centers, UH Medical Practices and Ventures finance—for the position, according to a news release. A board vote is expected later this summer.
