Linda Joyce Cappitti

Linda passed away at Huntington Beach Hospital due to complicati­ons from Covid 19. Linda was born to Ralph and Adeline Cappitti in Joliet, IL. She is survived by daughters Melissa (John), Nancy, brother Michael (Christine) of Carmel Valley, grandsons Dylan and Jagger, nephews, Christophe­r & Anthony, and numerous first cousins. Linda is also survived by her Uncle Tony, Auntie Christine, and Uncle Al.

In the summer of 1957, the family moved from Joliet, IL to Southern California. Linda was a lifelong resident of Bellflower, CA, and graduated from Pius X High School. While at Pius X, Linda was a cheerleade­r and upon graduation received a scholarshi­p to attend Bryman School to become a medical assistant in Oral Surgery. During her career, Linda was proud to say that one of her patients was Heavyweigh­t Boxing Champion Ken Norton, with whom she developed a casual friendship. Linda’s career as an Oral Surgery Medical Technician spanned nearly 30 years in the same office.

In recent years in Huntington Beach, Linda spent her time on Facebook researchin­g her family connection­s in Illinois and the Abruzzi region, on the Adriatic Coast, of Central Italy. The joys of her life were her Dachshund, “Wrigley,” watching Chicago Cubs Baseball, and the recent Presidenti­al Election. Linda loved everything Italian, Catholic and Democrat.

When it came to friends and family, Linda Joyce went all the way and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her and were close to her. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St Jude Children’s Hospital in the name of Linda Joyce Cappitti. Due to CV19, a funeral service will be held at a later date.
