Debra “Debi” Gayle Massey

Debra Gayle Massey will always be greatly missed by her mother, husband, sister, children, aunts, grandchildren, niece and nephews, family, and friends. We commemorate her life by remembering how amazing she was. Each of us has our own memories and favorite attributes to remember her by. We hope by reading these memories and thoughts of Debi, we can show the love and light that she brought to our lives:
“Debi was such a loving, caring, and thoughtful daughter. I miss our Sunday outings; she made sure I had something to look forward to each week. She will forever be in my heart.”- Marlene
“There are so many little things I miss about her since she has been gone. I miss the determination she had to find the ‘perfect’ gift for everyone for their birthday or Christmas and how she would light up as they opened it. I miss the way she would yell ‘Travis!’ when I annoyed her. I miss the way she absolutely adored her grandkids, Jake, Olivia, and Maddy. Most of all I miss just being able to see her. I know she is still watching over all of us, I love you mom.” - Travis
“I loved my Mom’s contagious smile and her love for her grandchildren. I have so many amazing memories of our softball traveling adventures and our weekend adventures with Grandma. I love that we were able to bond over becoming a mom myself and realizing how hard it is. She always told me it was the hardest job, but also the most rewarding.”- Aly
“I loved Mom’s smile and the way it would light up a room. She was absolutely my best friend and someone I could tell just about anything to. She loved the beach and long road trips to softball games and just spending time with her family. I’ll always cherish our late nights spent watching Criminal Minds and sneaking out for midnight ice cream runs.”- Whitney
“My favorite memory of Grammy was when we went to the wharf and had clam chowder with Gigi and going to the beach with her.”- Maddy

We honor Debi today. Her spirit lives on. “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.”
