Guns are the cause of gun violence in the US
We have always had gun violence in this country but recently there has been more of it. The question we are trying to answer is why and what can we do about it?
Allow me to ask you citizens a question: Let's assume the Chinese never found gunpowder and invented the gun during the 9th and 10th centuries, would any human being get shot and die? The question is rhetorical, so you don't have to answer!
I find comments on gun violence by some of the learned citizens we elect to office and other leaders interesting. Ronny Jackson (R- Texas) says “it's rap music and video games,” Billy Long (R-Mo.) blames “abortions,” Blake Masters running for Senate in Arizona says it's “Black people, frankly,” Rep. Pallone says it's on the “dang smartphones,” a number of leaders say it's “replacement theory” and mental instability. Laura Ingraham (Fox News) says its marijuana usage, Evangelists say its the loss of Christian values, Bill Maher (HBO) says its Hollywood's action movies.
Reasons we can't have controls on guns: Ken Buck (R-Co.) says we can't regulate assault weapons because raccoons eat chickens, John Thune's (R-SD.) says his state needs AR-15s to shoot prairie dogs, Steve Scalise (R-La) said “look we didn't ban airplanes after 9/11,” many say it infringes on our constitutional right.
The solutions, Evangelists — only solution is Jesus Christ, arm the teachers, too many doors in school buildings, mental health training and treatment and Louie Gohmert (RTexas) “more prayer could put an end to mass shootings.”
Come on citizens it's the GUNS. Why? It's quick, its impersonal, its illiberal and its illimitable in our society!
