Last week, the MPHS Girls went 1-1, losing to Bay City Western, beating Lapeer, led by: Madison Reinking (173, 145) and Katelyn Pope(166 &159). MPHS Boys were 0-2, losing close matches to both BC Western and Lapeer. Boys were led by Jackson Gutzman (236, 212), Angelo Porter (233, 223), and Dane Sampson (227).

• Local Notables: (300 games from our associatio­n bowlers this season went from one to five IN A HURRY!)

Scott Campbell: Recorded his seventh Usbccertif­ied 300 game at the MS USBC OPEN tourney in Battle Creek. Dan Phenix: Rolled his sixth Usbc-certified 300 game last Sunday in the MIDMI Travel league stop in Ionia. Hannah Post: Not only delivered her very first Usbc-certified 300 game last Sunday in the MID-MI Travel too, but she became only the second women to roll a 300 game in our associatio­n! (237300-238 / 775) The first women was Andrea Barber way back on Oct. 13, 2007 at Chippewa Lanes.
