City Bowling Tournament in full swing

Leagues, along with the City Tournament, are almost full nightly!

With normal leagues and City Tournament going on at the same time, lane availabili­ty has been at a premium during the Monday through Thursday evening squads.

Even the 10-lane Friday squad is tight! Actual tournament numbers may not reflect this participat­ion. We hope to resume a traditiona­l City Tournament Week next year.

Local High School bowling: Continue supporting your local teams!

Last week, the MPHS Girls outlasted Flint Powers. They were led by Jaylin Johnson’s career high 203 game and Katelyn Pope (173) to squeeze out a 1-pin victory! Every pin counts!

MPHS Boys dropped another fairly tight contest to Flint Powers, led by Jackson Gutzman (201), Dane Sampson (200) and Angelo Porter (195).

• 6th Annual BVL Notap Doubles fundraiser, Riverwood Lanes, 5 p.m., THIS Saturday, March 13. Raising money for veterans is always a great idea! More details on our Facebook Page!

• Cost: $50 per Doubles team. Tournament is still accepting lane sponsors for $100 each.

• Northern Michigan Women’s Championsh­ip was cancelled, but entries can be submitted for the Men’s tournament.
