CAMPBELL, JON PATRICK
CAMPBELL, JON PATRICK, age 55, of Weehawken, NJ, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. A Memorial Service for Jon will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 12 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project, two of Jon’s favorite causes. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Jon was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, June 10, 1967, the son of James and Sarah (Vallely) Campbell. Jon graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1985. After graduation, Jon followed his dreams and moved to Los Angeles, California where he graduated from the Musicians Institute and continued to play bass guitar in various bands throughout his life, sharing his passion for music every chance he got. He started his broadcast video engineering career at Bexel in Burbank, California and continued in the industry his entire life, most recently with ABC Television Nightly News in New York City. Jon’s career gave him many opportunities to travel and he made great friends all around the world. Jon loved time spent back in Michigan enjoying summers gathered with his family and friends at Higgins Lake. Jon is survived by his mother Sarah Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; sister Julie (Paul) Smith of Midland; brothers Jeff (Deborah) Campbell of Naples, FL, Joseph Campbell of Hastings; his adored nieces and
nephews, Kara (Tyler) Smalley, Evan Huber, Kylie Campbell, Connor Campbell, Zane (Matt) Griffith, Zoe Campbell and Rory Campbell, ; great nieces and nephew Ryleigh, Rhett and Makenna Smalley; special uncles Bill (Lori) Mcfarlane, Jim (Chris) Mcfarlane; and many other special extended family members.
