MILLER, MARK EDWARD

-

Mark Edward Miller, age 63, of Mt Pleasant, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Mark was born January 11, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Richard and Marian (Powell) Miller. He graduated from Shepherd High School with the Class of 1978, then through his pursuit of knowledge and desire to better himself, Mark attended Central Michigan University, where he went on to receive his BA in Engineering. On July 10th, 1979, Mark pledged his heart in marriage to Kay Lynn Timpe. They remained together through the remainder of Mark’s life, ultimately spending more years together than they did apart. Together, they raised and loved three sons; Jonathan, Christopher and Alexander and also helped to nurture and support many nieces, nephews and family friends. Mark’s career saw him working tirelessly for over three decades, ending his career at the Soaring Eagle Casino, where he worked as a Master Carpenter, creating stunning works of art. Above all else, Mark will be remembered as a man who took pride in his work. He crafted his house into the home he had always wanted, his land into the world he envisioned. However, Mark would just as soon put aside his work to lend a hand to his many friends and family whenever there was a need. He also took fun just as seriously, competing in league darts, bowling and golf. Mark also spent countless hours fishing, vacationing with Kay in Cabo, riding his Harley, and much more. Whatever it was, he gave his all. Through all this, Mark always put his family first, and loved spending time making memories with his loved ones. Mark is survived by his wife, Kay Miller; sons: Jonathan (Alisha Schueller) Miller, Chris (Jenifer) Miller-rune, and Alex M. Miller; grandchildren: Grant Miller, Taylor Miller, Sophia Rune, Gerard Rune; grand-nephew and Best Friend Forever Maclin Miller; sister: Jackie (Vic) Bandini; brother-in-law: Rick (Jan) Timpe; sisters-in-law: Sue (Harold) Johnson, Shelly (Tom) Stanfield and Linda (Mark) Rhein; mother-in-law Eloise Timpe, and many special nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Don Timpe, his brothers Doug Miller and Dale Miller and close family members Rick Trofatter and Randy Rolston. We invite you to join us in a celebration and remembrance of Mark’s life on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1 PM at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
