FEARS STANDING BY HIM AFTER RACISM CHARGES COULD WRECK CAREER
FORMER “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston is no pal of Jimmy Kimmel’s anymore — she’s dropped her disgraced pal like a bad habit, spies dished!
Sources snitched the 51-year-old actress — who was a favorite guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” — has unfriended the scandalscarred 52-yearold host, who has gone into hiding after it was revealed he wore blackface and used the N-word in comedy sketches in the 1990s!
“It’s fairly obvious she thinks he’s radioactive and she wants to give him a wide berth until the scandal dies down,” an insider spilled. “She doesn’t want to be anywhere near him and that kind of backlash!”
And that may go for being anywhere near his screenwriter wife, 42-yearold Molly McNearney, as well, insiders said!
“They all had plans to go away to Mexico together in the coming weeks, but Jen’s put that on hold and told
them both it won’t be happening any time soon," a source dished. The embattled late-night host has fled L.A. to an undisclosed location to escape the firestorm that many believe will cost him his job!
Footage has also emerged of Jimmy making an insensitive joke after actress Megan Fox claimed she had been sexually objectified by director Michael Bay on his show in 2009! Though Jimmy, who did not respond to a request for comment, issued a written apology, many people in Hollywood feel that was not nearly enough, the insider revealed.
Jen may feel that standing by Jimmy now would be a career killer, according to sources, who claimed she is not returning his calls.
“Jen is in full preservation mode,” a source said. “She’s cut him off!”
Although Jen’s rep denied the friendship has ended, sources added she’s terrified her association with Jimmy will threaten her involvement with the upcoming “Friends” reunion, which comes with a $2 million paycheck and is already hanging by a thread because of delays caused by the pandemic.
“She’s not going to dip her toe into this sordid mess,” a source squealed. “Jimmy’s on his own, as far as she’s concerned.”
