SOBER country star Joe Don Rooney may be tempted to break out some alcoholfree champagne to toast making out like a bandit in his nasty divorce case against bombshell exwife Tiffany Fallon!
The 48-year-old guitar whiz has been on the wagon for 19 months after long battling the bottle. Despite his addiction, he helped propel the group Rascal Flatts to the top of the country music scene with 16 No. 1 hits before their breakup in 2020.
Now, Rooney has scored another hit in court! In his stunning divorce settlement, he doesn’t have to pay any spousal support to 49-year-old Tiffany, a former Playboy model. He’s only on the hook for a paltry $3,100 a month in child support for the couple’s three minor children — despite having an estimated net worth of $50 million!
“Joe is rich, but he says all through his marriage to Tiffany, she was such a spendaholic she was driving him toward the poorhouse,” confides a friend. “His buddies, who never liked Tiffany much, are cheering his victory, saying he ‘Kevin Costner-ed her a**.’ And all Joe can do is smile!”
The lead-up to the divorce was ugly. According to reports, when Rooney tried to rein in Tiffany’s spending, she told him, “F**k you, Joe Don, I don’t need a f**king dad.” Meanwhile, she blamed their broken marriage on Rooney’s “habitual alcoholism and abuse of narcotic drugs.” Now, sources say Rooney’s sweetheart settlement may lead to a long-awaited Rascal Flatts reunion.
“The band has been talking about getting back together for another tour, which could bring in tens of millions of dollars,” reveals the friend. “Joe had been hesitant about doing it if he was forced to pony up big bucks to Tiffany in their divorce. But now he’ll be able to keep what he earns!”
