China & Iran tag-teaming assault on water supply
GOVERNMENTsponsored Chinese and Iranian hackers have launched a stunning sneak attack on America’s water systems in what military experts claim is a run-up to World War III!
In a letter to all 50 U.S. governors, EPA honcho
Michael Regan and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan warn the “disabling” series of cyberattacks spare no area of the nation and have the potential to “disrupt the critical lifeline of clean and safe drinking water” for U.S. citizens.
Sources say the Iranian attacks were carried out by the Islamic state’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps while the Chinese strikes were executed by Volt Typhoon, the same mysterious, state-linked hacking group that secretly penetrated the American mainland’s links to military personnel in Guam last summer.
In their letter, Regan and Sullivan say federal agencies have also determined the diabolical Chinese cyber warriors are “pre-positioning themselves” for a future war between the communist nation and the U.S.
“China wants to dominate the world,” says retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely. “They want to be the No. 1 country and, with that in mind, they are preparing themselves for war.
“They are laying the groundwork for a larger attack on America in anticipation of the day China and the U.S. square off militarily.”
Despite Sullivan and Regan’s warning, both Vallely and a New Jersey–based engineer who designs and oversees the construction of water systems say cyber hackers appear to pose little actual threat to U.S. water systems.
“Most of the systems here are still analog and involve workers manually opening and closing valves and pushing buttons to control the water flow,” explains the engineer. “There is very little that a hacking group can do, even if they penetrated the system.”
That said, Vallely believes the main threat to America’s drinking water comes from on-the-ground spies who have secretly slipped into the U.S. They are now living among us, he says, lying low until war breaks out between the dominant world powers.
“These people will be tasked with poisoning our water to create mass hysteria in the civilian population during a conflict between China and the United States,” he warns. “The point will be to create mass chaos and weaken the American will to fight, which they hope will bring about a quick withdrawal from the field!”
