More rehab & worse after latest boozy bust
COUNTRY bad boy Morgan Wallen is headed back to rehab and possibly even a stint behind bars after a harrowing incident where cops say the hitmaker hurled a chair six stories from a rooftop bar — nearly clocking two Nashville lawmen below!
The 30-year-old Whiskey Glasses singer was drinking at fellow country star Eric Church’s Nashville bar on
April 7 when he was caught on videotape apparently tossing a chair from the roof.
He was taken to jail and booked on three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count for disorderly conduct. The felony charges carry a mandatory one- to six-year prison sentence if he is convicted. “Morgan is Nashville’s hottest star, but he can also act like its biggest fool,” sniffs a source. “He could have killed somebody with this stupid stunt!”
The I Deserve a Drink crooner claimed to be a changed man after nearly flushing his career down the toilet in 2021 when he was caught on tape spewing the N-word during a 72-hour bender — and that was after an arrest in 2020 for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Though the
2020 charges were dropped and the race scandal died down, Morgan’s record company,
Big Loud Records, ditched his contract and country radio canceled his airplay.
After a 30-day rehab to address his hiccups with hooch, Morgan swore in an interview last December he’d cut back on the sauce — but a buddy blabs to The National ENQUIRER the singer’s handlers are insisting he make a U-turn back to rehab despite a new concert tour running through August!
“If Morgan is going to avoid jail time, he has to show he is contrite and addressing his issues,” dishes the pal.
And another source says Morgan’s fancy for firewater is “a problem that keeps coming back around.
“Morgan is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with, but when he gets going, he doesn’t know when to stop!”
