“That particular [prayer bowl] style I saw in a book of pottery of the early 1500s, and I didn’t know what Pueblo it was from because it didn’t have a signature...[for my design,] I just figured that there are four directions, but there are also more than that, and we all need prayers in every direction that we could possibly get…i also pushed my own limits with the thin wall and really delicate shape of the pot.”
