Ljeh’s late goal gives SHA tie with Sheehan

Jada Ljeh scored at 73:30 to lift the Sacred Heart Academy girls soccer team to a 1-1 SCC tie with Sheehan in Wallingfor­d on Friday.

Lexi Carim scored what proved to be a short-lived

1-0 lead for the Titans at 72:28.

Ava King had nine saves for the SHArks (1-0-1) and Beth Arnold had five saves for the Totans (1-1-1).

Haddam-Killingwor­th 5, North Branford 0: Maggie Singer had a goal and an assist and Kaitlyn Parri added two assists to lead the Cougars to their Shoreline Conference win.

Hand 2, Guilford 2: Lydia Doraz and Maddie

Coulis scored in the second half to lift the Tigers to their SCC tie. Moira Kellaher and Gabby Sansone scored in the first half to give the Indians a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Valley Regional 1, Morgan 1: Taryn Frazier scored in the 62nd minute to lift the Warriors to their Shoreline Conference tie. Carley Schmidt scored in the 47th minute to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Elizabeth Allen had five saves for the Warriors and Emma Lindsay had three saves for the Huskies.

West Haven 4, North Haven 0: Julia Tsakonas scored twice and Selena

Izzo added a goal and an assist to lead the Blue Devils to their SCC win. Sophia

Chagnon had seven saves for the Indians.

BOYS SOCCER

Law 3, Platt Tech 0: Fillipe Mourao had a goal and two assists to lead the Eagles to their non-league win in Milford. Kevin Valdovinos had 12 saves for the Panthers.

Xavier 4, Hamden 1: John Milardo scored twice to lead the Falcons (3-0) to their SCC win. Jack Wagner scored for the Green Dragons (2-1-1).

FIELD HOCKEY

Hand 4, Sheehan 2: Erin Patla, Grace Goddard, Natalia Nolan and Sydney Courtmanch each scored to lead the Tigers to their SCC win. Cait Velez scored twice for the Titans.
