Voters are asked to verify the information and return the form within thirty days. If addressee no longer resides at the address do not open envelope. Write “Return to Sender” on the unopened envelope and return to the postal carrier.
RARE DISEASE DAY: The Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University will host its annual Rare Disease Day symposium from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 27. VALLEY GOES PINK: The Valley Goes Pink Campaign will host a live virtual meditation event at 7 p.m. March 11. Hosted by Mindfulness Instructor Virginia Bressano, this event will feature the use of essential oils in meditation. Participants will be shipped a special blend of oils. If a person is unable to make the event, they can receive a recording of the program. Interested individuals can register by making a $25 donation at https://pinkmeditation.givesmart.com/. Registration due by March 1 to receive the essential oils shipment.
VITA TAX HELP: Quinnipiac University’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will offer free income tax preparation services to taxpayers with annual household incomes of $57,000 or less. Envelopes containing information about the program and what forms are needed for tax preparation are available to residents at the Keefe Community Center, 11 Pine St., Hamden. The envelopes can be returned to a lock box at the

CENTENARIANS WANTED: As part of West Haven’s 100th anniversary festivities later this year, the City of West Haven Centennial Celebration Committee is honoring residents 100 and older and is looking for centenarians to recognize. All centenarians who live in West Haven are invited to participate by calling committee member Beth A. Sabo at 203-937-3558. The committee is planning a series of commemorative events, starting in late June, to celebrate the 1921 birth of Connecticut’s youngest town.

COVID-19 TESTING: January COVID-19 testing in Hamden is available every Tuesday and Thursday at 60 Putnam Avenue, the HPS Central Office, from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Testing is done in the gymnasium at the rear of the building. Testing done by Cornell Scott - Hill Health Center in partnership with Town of Hamden, Connecticut, Hamden Public Schools, and Quinnipiack Valley Health District.
