Daniel T. Meisenheim­er III, 70, of Orange, passed away peacefully in his home on April 10, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born in Bridgeport on March 22, 1951 to the late Daniel T. and Mary Ellen Meisenheim­er, Jr.

Daniel will be lovingly and fondly remembered by his sons, Daniel Meisenheim­er and his wife Tasha and James Meisenheim­er and his partner Sophie Butcher; his grandson, Lachlan Meisenheim­er; his wife, Eda Kovaci; his first wife, Jean Meisenheim­er; his brother, Richard Meisenheim­er and wife Linda; nieces, nephews, grandniece­s and many cousins; as well as everyone in the towns of Orange and Milford that knew him.

Daniel graduated from Notre Dame High School in West Haven in 1969 and Southern Connecticu­t State University in 1973. He was the Founder and President of the United States Basketball League and Vice President of Spectrum Associates in Milford, CT. Daniel was an avid sports enthusiast playing basketball with friends at Holy Infant Church. He extended his knowledge and passion for the sport through coaching his sons, Daniel and James, and the many members of the community on the Holy Infant Orangemen throughout the 90s. Daniel was also a highly active golfer, having been a member of Oak Lane Country Club and Racebrook Country Club, enjoying rounds with family and friends throughout Connecticu­t.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a walk-through wake on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Masks and social distancing will be required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT.
