Salome A. Spak, age 91, of Wallingfor­d, entered into eternal rest on Monday April 12, 2021 in the Masonic Home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Derby on October 28, 1929 daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Snopkowska) and was a resident of Derby for most of her life. Sally was employed at the former B.F. Goodrich, former Actor Colony and Shelton Lakes Nursing Home until her retirement. She loved to play bingo, scratch tickets, go dancing and watch golden girls on tv. Sally was always willing to help everyone especially seniors by giving them rides but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She was a longtime communican­t of St. Jude Church, Derby. She is the beloved mother of Joseph Spak Jr., Tanya Giacomelli (Dave), Diane Spak, Carlene Brett, Lisa Vincent (Frank), and the late Gerard Spak, loving grandmothe­r of Nathan and Travis Giacomelli, Derek Spak, Cameron, Elias and Colette Brett, Damon Brett (Courtney), Amanda and Ryan Franco, Brittany Swasey (John), Mariah Bukowski (Rob), great-grandmothe­r of Vivienne, Hadley, Adaline and also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her siblings Anthony, Albert, Stanley, John, Kapusta, Josephine (kay) Sylvester, Antoinette Orlowski, Honorata (Nora) Mccullough, Andrew Kapusta, Mary Wisniewski, Helen Stebar, Genevive (Jean) Dziekan, Casimir (Kelly) Kapusta, Edward Kapusta, Victoria Kapusta. Sally’s family would like to thank Masonic health care and hospice for all that exceptiona­l care they provided to Sally during her illness. Friends and Family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12:00 noon at St. Jude Church, 71 Pleasant View Rd., Derby. Mask and Social Distancing are required for attendance. Friends and Family are invited to attend to attend the Committal Prayer on Friday at 1:15 p.m. in Mt. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby.
