John P. “Dags” D’Agostino Jr., age 64, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2021. John was born in Yonkers, NY, on October 27, 1956, first of three sons to the late John and Jean D’Onofrio D’Agostino Sr. John spent his childhood living in Oxford, until moving to Ansonia then later Seymour where he lived with his former wife Janice Baker D’Agostino and their three sons. John was a graduate of Ansonia High School in 1974 and went on to attend Central Connecticu­t State University. John had many loyal friends and was well known throughout the Valley for being fun, never being afraid to speak his mind, having a big heart and always being there for anyone who needed him. He was an avid sports fan, specifical­ly the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. His childhood idol was Mickey Mantle. He enjoyed watching his sons and grandchild­ren, who were his pride and joy, play sports for their respective teams. You could always find John running up and down the field with his video camera trying to get the best shots. John is survived by his three sons, John, Marc and Nick D’Agostino, their mother, Janice Baker D’Agostino, brothers, Peter D’Agostino

and Pat D’Agostino (Stacey), grandchild­ren, Isabella, John, Blakely and Benson D’Agostino, niece, Gabriella, along with several cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of SPINELLIRI­CCIUTI/ BEDNAROSIE­CKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
