Mary was born on July 3, 1954 to Mary Elizabeth Melius and Ralph Wayman Gibbs of Newport,

RI. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Kennebunkport, ME, where she grew up. The family moved to Bethany, CT when she was older, and that is where she met her husband Robert Guglielmo.

They married in 1972 and welcomed their first son, Robert Joseph, shortly afterwards while living in New Haven. They welcomed their second son, Todd Philip, in 1976. A long time resident of West Haven, Mary worked at Grolier Publishing from 1979 to 1995, where she was a manager of the telemarketing sales team.

After leaving Grolier, she continued to work and spent time with her family after the loss of her husband in 1994. In 1995, she was proud to work as a volunteer for the Special Olympics World Games.

She was particularly proud of her work with Alcoholic’s Anonymous. She was there for those in need and her counsel helped to steer many people toward their own recovery. She was never too busy to lend a hand and a smile.

Mary is survived by her sons, Robert Joseph Guglielmo of Branford, CT and Todd Philip Guglielmo of North Haven CT, her daughter in law Michele Lynn Guglielmo, her beloved grandchildren, Ella and
