Keith Johnson

1961 - 2021

Keith Leonard Johnson “Cutty” died peacefully October 14, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the son of Alfred and Irene Johnson of Branford. Keith was born March 22, 1961 and was a lifelong resident of Branford.

Keith graduated in 1979 from Notre Dame High School, West Haven, where he excelled in football, basketball and swimming. After graduating, Keith attended American International College in Springfield, MA where he played basketball.

Keith was a tradesman who loved working with his hands. Keith was an accomplished martial artist competing in the Colorado U.S. National Blackbelt Competitions where he dominated the sport. He also competed as a 7th degree black belt in mixed media martial arts in Europe for several years. He truly loved the sport on an artistic level. Keith was a loving father to his only child Brandon Keith and will be remembered for his infectious smile and kind heart.

Besides his parents, Keith is survived by his son, Brandon Keith Johnson of Branford, stepson Nelson Reveaux of New Haven, stepdaughter Erica Arms Fairbanks of Clayton, NC and former wife and forever friend Corrine Reveaux of Clayton, NC. Keith is also survived by his beloved sister Karen Aldridge and brother-in-law Richard Aldridge and his brother Alfred Sean Johnson, all of Branford. Keith is also survived by nieces Tychiah Harrison-Burns of Virginia Beach, VA, Lindsay Morgan of Hartford, CT, nephews Jason Diggs of New Haven, Tilon Diggs of Branford and Xavier Johnson of Branford; great-nieces Tatianna Harrison, Alexia Diggs and Johanna Burns, great nephews Douglas Harrison, III, Jaxson E. Diggs, predeceased by Elijah T. Diggs.

Visiting hour Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 1:00, in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
