It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vincent R. D’Agostino III, age 65, of Hamden, CT. Beloved husband of Sandra (Simone) D’Agostino and loving father of Vincent R. D’Agostino IV (wife Jacquelyn Rose) of Colchester and Gina M. D’Agostino (fiancé Joseph D’Ambrosca) of Branford, “Papa” to Sophia and Isabella D’Agostino. Born in New Haven, CT, Vinny was the youngest of three children to the late Vincent R. D’Agostino, Jr. and Helen E. (Atkinson) D’Agostino. He was predecease­d by a sister, Marion Hafez. He met Sandy in 1980 at Malone’s West, married in 1983, and settled in Hamden to raise their two children and many dachshunds. Besides his love of his family and God, he loved hockey (he was a goalie), Medieval Knights, his model collection, his saltwater fish, loud heavy metal music, the old shows on TV, dancing, and Italian cuisine. He leaves behind his brother-in-law Joseph Simone (Fran), sister-in-law Laurie Simone (Paul, deceased), many nieces and nephews and so many good friends:

Paul, Donnie, Louie, as well as his Westville Park crew, fellow parishione­rs, and many friends at SCSU where he worked as an electricia­n. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at YNHH (St. Raphael’s) Verdi North. Due to COVID, the viewing will be private. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial open to friends at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 6th at
