Here are 12 CIAC boys’ tennis players to watch entering the 2022 season:

Luke Brodsky, Staples, Sr.: Brodsky teamed with senior Bradley Sheppard to walk away with the Invitation­al doubles’ championsh­ip in straight sets. They were Class LL champs as well.

Tighe Brunetti, Staples, Sr.: FCIAC MVP, Brunetti won the Class LL No. 1 singles title. Captured Class LL doubles title with Robbie Daus as a freshman.

Robbie Daus, Staples, Sr.: Daus took home the Class LL No. 2 singles title as a junior. He teamed with fellow Player to Watch Tighe Brunetti to win a Class LL doubles title as a freshman. All-FCIAC.

Dan Folloni, Jonathan Law, Sr.: The SCC Division II playoff MVP, Folloni led Law to its first title.

Helped Law from his No. 1 singles position finish regular season at 16-0.

Liam Hovorka, Avon, Soph.: Unbeaten at 18-0 for the Class M champions, Hovorka tacked on a state No. 1 singles title.

Elliot Koplas, Westbrook, Soph.: Class S No. 4 singles champion. All-Shoreline.

Dylan Koziol, Wilton, Sr.: All-FCIAC singles. Verbal commit to Loyola (Md.).

Petro Kuzmenok, Warde, Jr.: Kuzmenok, seeded fourth, captured the first CIAC Boys Tennis Invitation­al singles crown, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. First-team AllFCIAC.

James Lorenzetti, Notre Dame-West Haven, Jr.: Division I All-SCC first team. Made it to round of 16 at Georgia Bowl Open in Rome (Ga.) this March.

Sebastian Lowy, Hand, Sr.: All-SCC first teamer,

Israel has helped win three consecutiv­e Division I league titles. Won SCC No. 2 singles title.

Will Mathias, Avon, Jr.: Class M No. 2 singles champion. Has 19-8 USTA record.

Utsav Subramani, Cheshire, Sr: First team Division I All-SCC. No. 1 singles league runner-up. All-State as a freshman when he went unbeaten in singles and won two state matches.
