Lorraine Vece LaTerza, of Hamden, died peacefully at Connecticu­t Hospice, Branford on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond R. LaTerza. Lorraine was born in Hamden, a daughter of the late Sabato and Julia Masotta Vece, and was a lifelong town resident.

She was the bookkeeper at Craftsmen General Contractor­s of Hamden for twenty nine years, retiring in 2020. She was a long-time parishione­r of St. Ann Church of Hamden, a member of the Columbiett­s, Fr. Kavanaugh Council, Hamden, and a member of the “Club”. Lorraine is survived by three daughters, Katheleen (Leonard) Weisgable of Oxford, and Patricia LaTerza and Laurie (Todd Rake) LaTerza of Guilford; two grandchild­ren, Matthew Weisgable and Sofia Rake; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predecease­d by three sisters, Marion Vece, Josephine Carboni and Eleanor LaBadia; and three brothers, Frederick “Fritz” Vece, Thomas Vece and Gabriel Vece. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul IV Parrish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
