Brian G. Sexton Sr.

Brian G. Sexton Sr., age, 78, entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2022, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Grace M. Sampiere Sexton. Brian was born in Derby on February 3, 1944, son of the late Bert and Helen Blackman Sexton. A resident of Ansonia and Woodbridge for his entire life, Brian was employed as an accountant for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for over thirty years until his retirement. He served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for six years and was a volunteer for the Valley United Way for many years. He was an avid fan of Amity sports. Spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren is what he loved most. In addition to his wife Grace, Brian leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Brian G. Sexton Jr. (Laura) of Woodbridge, a daughter, Christine Val (Vladimir) of Ardsley, NY, grandchildren, Emily and Casey Sexton and Sophia,

Isabella and Ava Val. He was predeceased by brothers, Daniel and Barry Sexton. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/ BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, his funeral will begin at 9:45 from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Burial will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
