MaryAnn Kendall

January 28, 1947 - December 22, 2021

SOUTHBURY- MaryAnn Kendall, 74, passed on December 22, 2021. Born on January 28th, 1947 to the late Renee (Landini) and Leo VanGrowski in Bridgeport, CT.

Raised in Bridgeport, MaryAnn attended Catholic School and it was there that she found her deep faith in God to guide her. On October 28th, 1967 MaryAnn wed Peter Kendall.

Anyone that knew MaryAnn would agree she was devoted to her family. Not only her children and husband but her extended family of nieces and nephews, as well as, her twin sister and brother.

There was not anything she would not do for the family. A warm meal and a place to sleep was always available here in Connecticut and at her home in Florida. MaryAnn was also known as a wonderful friend. Her relationships stemmed from childhood and her friends are scattered about the country.

MaryAnn fought a valiant battle with ALS and conquered life the way she wanted during her illness. Always with a smile and happy to see her friends and family by her side. Her deep faith in God guided her through uncharted territory. It was her faith that brought hope and a smile into her life every day until she was born to eternal life. MaryAnn jetted to heaven with this passage “Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church located 910 Main St. South, Southbury, CT.
